From Today's Game News:
The interesting wrinkle is there are no Necrotech facilities. So for humans death is a permanent.

Playing in Monroe yesterday and today was definitely a change of pace. I've gotten so used to having every skill in the game it's really odd to have only Free Running and a measly 10% chance to hit with my Axe with my survivor.
On the flip side, while hardly anything is barricaded yet (no one has the construction skill) even simple closed doors are enough to utterly ward off my zombie alt (can't afford Memories of Life yet either).
For now it plays like a whole different game.

Not as yet so far as I know.
I've got 2 alts there atm:
Milo Daday (Melo's younger brother). He's got a video camera and is a picture taking fool.
Tasty Tommy. Free running and a fire axe and he's not afraid to use 'em! Or rather he's terrified to use them and is hiding like a timid mouse since its so darn hard to hit anything with no skills built up yet.

Ugh... I have 4 characters there, my main was in the TSPD massacre... One of two known survivors, the other got pked by warboss at lv12. I went to monroeville mall, watched it fall, run to drummond mall, predicted it would fall too after I scouted the remains of mon mall, and got some ppl to follow me to buckner mansion and VSPD, which I now reside... Archway mall was a fallback... Maybe not now... I have a communication alt there in weaver mall newtown... very effective.
